Why Wenger Guide Service

More than a ride around the lake.

The goal is to give you a memorable day on the water while showing you the decisions, techniques and details that help produce better bass fishing long after the trip is over.

01 / CATCH

Chase quality fish.

Trips are approached with a trophy-minded mentality. We adjust to conditions and fish behavior instead of simply running a predetermined route.

02 / LEARN

Understand the “why.”

Learn seasonal patterns, bait selection, presentation, boat positioning and decision-making—not just where to make the next cast.

03 / APPLY

Take it home.

The best guide trip makes you better on your own water. Electronics and technique instruction are designed to shorten that learning curve.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to be an experienced bass fisherman?

No. Trips can be tailored to your experience level—from newer anglers to experienced fishermen looking to sharpen a specific technique or electronics skill.

What should I bring?

After we confirm your trip, Luke will go over what to bring based on the season, weather and type of trip. Ask about tackle and equipment needs when you inquire.

Can I book a trip specifically to learn electronics?

Yes. Electronics training is a dedicated $400 session focused on understanding what you see, positioning the boat correctly, finding targets and making better fishing decisions with modern sonar.

Can we focus on catching a personal best?

Absolutely. Tell Luke that trophy bass are your priority when you inquire. Conditions always dictate what is possible on a given day, but the trip can be structured around pursuing quality bites.

Which lake will we fish?

Lake selection depends on the season, current conditions, your goals and where Luke believes the best opportunity is. You can also ask about a specific lake when you contact him.

How do I reserve a date?

For now, trips are handled directly with Luke. Call, text, email or submit the inquiry below. Luke will follow up to discuss your goals and available dates.
